“Let us become more aware of Your presence”
I was walking out to my car on lunchbreak, singing these words that felt stuck in my spirit. The sun was shining on this unseasonably warm winter day. It had rained earlier so everything had that glisten effect in the hazy December sunshine. As I breathed in the warm air, I felt God. All around me. I could sense His Holy Spirit in a peacefully heavy kind of way. For some suspended moments, in this workplace parking lot, I was as aware as I could be of God’s presense around me. And it was so beautiful.
When is the last time you were consciously aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence?
Take some minutes today to be aware of His presense. Look for Him. Feel for Him. Breathe Him in. Listen for Him. And then tell Him how you love Him.
God is always with us, living in us, we need to make sure we are being aware of Him. The Holy Spirit is a gift! He wasn’t always available to EVERYONE who believes. Don’t forget that.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you” John 14:16-17
